Living History, Today
Join us on a trip back in time, to the days of cavaliers and roundheads, Parliament's struggle against the King, the English Civil War.
Prince Rupert's Blewcoats were a Royalist regiment commanded by the King's nephew. The Blewcoats have a rich history on campaign from 1642 to 1645, avoiding the battering and shrinking that was so common in the Royalist army, until their last stand at the Battle of Naseby.
Today, the Bluecoats are a band of re-enactors from all walks of life and all over the country. Our hobby gives us access to the historical sites of the UK and a meaningful way to make friends and enjoy ourselves.
Try it yourself - wear the Bluecoat today!
